MOT Test Process:
The certified Somerset Tyres and Serving MOT testers will thoroughly inspect your Vehicle according to the official checklist. This entire process takes about 45 minutes.
Receive Test Results:
After the test is completed, you will be informed about the results. If the Vehicle passes, a VT20 certificate will be issued, which is valid for 12 months. If the Vehicle fails the test, a VT30 certificate will be issued. Attached to this certificate is the reason(s) (Major or Dangerous).
Addressing Failures:
Until all issues are rectified, driving or even parking the vehicle on public roads is not allowed. Once all issues have been resolved, a partial re-test must be carried out. Afterwards, a VT20 is issued.
